Horizon Addis Tyre Manufacturing PLC specializes in manufacturing and sales of Radial and diagonal tyres . We firmly believe in the protection and sustainability of the environment, therefore, we seek to continually improve our environmental performance through commitment stated as follows:

1. Compliance 

We commit ourselves to comply with all applicable environmental compliance obligations and other requirements to which the organization subscribes by implementing environmental management system in accordance with ISO14001:2015.

2. Prevention of Pollution & Risk Reduction 

Commit to pollution prevention by operating in an ethical and responsible manner, providing capital and human resources to develop, improve and sustain the Environmental Management System in an environmental friendly manner. We shall minimize resource consumption & wastes through reduction, reusing, recycling and safely disposing of hazardous materials in all our processes. We shall also continually reduce risk to employees, community and the environment.

We shall continually improve our environmental performance by establishing objectives & targets and by continuously measuring our progress.

The top management is committed to establish, implement & continue to maintain a quality management system which complies with the requirements of   ISO 9001:2015. The Quality Policy is   thus directed towards achieving the following objectives.

Introduction
 Corporate social responsibility (CSR) refers to a business practice that involves participating in initiatives that benefit the society. It is the obligations of decision makers to take actions which protect and improve the welfare of society as a whole along with their own interest. CSR can also be explained as company’s sense of responsibility towards the society and environment. Corporate social responsibility not only benefit the society or surrounding community but it can also be good for business by helping the company grow & in addressing stakeholder concerns. It can bring benefits to the company in terms of:

  • Cost Saving (especially marketing and legal costs)

Corporate social responsibility can be practiced in a wide verity of tactics. But the broad categories of CSR that businesses now practicing are: 
 
1. Environmental Responsibility: 
It is the priority focus area of corporate social responsibility. Those activities of the company that are related to environmental corporate social responsibility includes: reducing waste and pollution, participating and encouraging forestation, reducing fuel and water consumption, reducing noise, participating and encouraging recycling and using recycled products, establishing a good a reliable waste management system, etc.
 
2. Ethical act and labor practice Responsibility: 
Companies can demonstrate their social responsibility by treating employees and the society fairly and ethically. This category of responsibility assumes: ‘laws are essential but not adequate.’ Those activities and practices that are expected or prohibited by the society even though they are not codified in the law are part of ethical responsibility of companies. This includes: Avoiding child labor, Do what is right, fair, and just, Assert ethical leadership, operating at least at the minimum expectation by laws and employee collective agreements, making the working environment suitable for employees, providing employees with the necessary safety equipments, training and educating employees to fit to the position and to their future career etc.

So, we have to make ourselves ready in this aspect. Considering all the above facts, this corporate social responsibility policy is prepared for Horizon Addis Tyre Manufacturing PLC.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR COMPANY 
Horizon Addis Tyre Manufacturing PLC will focus on the following corporate social issues: But the company should also attach & utilize any of its corporate social responsibilities as part of its sales & marketing strategy. The company encourages and educates its employees to provide blood to Ethiopian Red Cross association at least ones in a year.
